Emerson: Sensi Touch Product Launch

If you told me as a student that I'd become an expert on thermostats, I'd laugh. If you told me I would come to love it, I'd probably cry.

Momentum developed this B2B campaign for the launch of Emerson's newest thermostat, the Sensi Touch Wi-Fi. We took a human-focused approach, traveling the country to profile the very contractors whose lives and businesses were enhanced by using and installing Sensi technology.

Campaign legs included the original pitch, several full-length video features, pre-roll, in-store signage, branded blog content, digital banner ads, print ads, email blasts, social media posts and a website redesign.

I was the lead and only copywriter, and the campaign was a huge undertaking for our team. But we all learned a few important lessons:

  • Anything can be interesting if you're looking at it the right way.
  • Working in video is frustrating, fascinating and fun.
  • People are inherently good.
