Elevating a Classic: Taylor Port Wine

When we met Taylor Port, it was a high-ABV, strong-and-sweet wine with a social media following and little to no branding. My team was tasked with giving Taylor Port a brand platform, solidifying a look and tone without losing the organic edge that made Taylor famous. It began with foundational work, with positioning and brainstorming led by me and supported by a strong creative and research team. We developed an internal platform, “The People’s Port,” that set the tone for marketing to come: real, authentic, gritty, and smooth.

The brand — and our work — got its biggest spotlight with an activation at Miami’s Art Basel and a partnership with social sensation Druski. My team concepted and created supporting elements, from POS to experiential add-ons, that let the fan-favorite brand shine.

Team: ACDs, myself and artist Adam McBride.

Defining Iconic: Taylor Port x Art Basel

We developed visual territories’ to support the theme ‘Women in Hip Hop.’ The selected look and feel served as signage and point-of-sale pieces throughout Taylor Port-sponsored events and parties.

Pour Up the Partnerships

We developed partnerships to help bring new eyes to a cult classic brand, from a POS suite with social media senstation Druski to the Atlanta Hawks to a co-branded cocktail program with E&J Brandy.

Launching Taylor Port Black

We launched Taylor Port Black—a more intensely smooth varietal—with influencer boxes with custom swag, recipe books, State Farm Arena assets and C-Store POS.
