Variety: The Power of One

A children's charity that served kids with special needs with whatever they needed, whenever they needed it. A charity that changed lives through therapy, recreation, education, equipment, and, most stunningly, large-scale theatre productions that made the incredible accessible. But with no facility or home to call their own, a children's charity that realized there was a gap between care as it was and care as it should be.

How could Momentum help? Develop a campaign that would appeal to high value donors (million dollar ranges). We started with a complete brand diagnosis and refresh, then went straight into finding the sweet spot that would help Variety make its dream of a new, state-of-the-art facility possible.

As lead copywriter on the campaign, I helped develop the final concept: The Power of One. Since then, I've worked with art directors and the creative team to create a case for support, a premium donor brochure booklet and, soon, an engaging video spot to kick off donor presentations.

Here's a look at the most personal, fulfilling work I've done yet.

The Power of One: Campaign Concept Presentation

The Power of One: One Day

The ask: use the emotional power of video to show donors why Variety needs a facility to help families with special needs live their best lives--ultimately inspiring high-value donors to contribute to the campaign.

Our story is told through one single day—but through the eyes of many families. We create a seamless story while visually cutting between different families’ perspectives.
